The Cheshire Communities website not only lists contact details but also offers organisations the opportunity to put their own news and pictures online.
Eric Langton said: 'I hope that over the next few weeks the site will expand rapidly as all sorts of voluntary organisations, clubs, pressure groups, societies take advantage of lifting their online profiles.
'I am delighted that Voluntary Service Overseas won the camera prize after being drawn out of the hat from the first 20 organisations to register, and can put it to good use to get photographs of their activities onto the Cheshire Communities site.'
