Combat Stress Cheshire, based in Winsford, is the regional branch to the National UK charity Combat Stress. It is the only UK charity that deals specifically with mental illnesses that are a direct result of active service of ex service personnel. To date, since its establishment in 1919, the Charity has assisted some 100,000 veterans. This year the charity celebrates its 90th birthday.
