Budo Ka Red Dragon SKC. Karate grading Examination.

The karate grading exam was taken on Friday 26th of October 2007, Sensei Andy Sherry 8th dan took the Training & grading exam. Training started at 7:00pm, Sensei took us through a warm up and stretching routine, We was then taken through (basics) Karate techniques,
for example moving forward into a front stance & punching to the Head (Jodan) and moving back in a front stance and blocking (age uke) to stop a punch to the face.
we then went and practiced on (kumite) fighting routine, and lastly on Kata,
Kata is an exercise (forms) where the student executes karate moves against an imaginary opponant. we finished training at 8:30pm, the grading exam took place at 8:31pm.
There were 12 students that sensei graded. all passed. well done.

ABOUT US.
The Budo Ka Red Dragon Club is affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain, the largest governing body in the UK. We can offer many benifits of the KUGB including Instruction from the Clubs Chief Instructor Sensei Glyn Roberts 2nd Dan.
The Budo ka was founded in 1997 by sensei Glyn Roberts who is a member of the Karate Union of Great Britain. When we opend the Karate club in 1997 at weaverham youth centre the total students were five. Now 10 years later we have a larger group of students at present 40 students with an age ranging from 7yrs old to 60yrs old. we Train at Barnton Memorial Hall, Townfield lane, Barnton Northwich. We are a none profit making club looking for new members. a good family club where you will enjoy learning self defence, Keeping fit and personal discipline.

The word Karate is formed from the Japanese characters kara (empty) and Te (hand), meaning that its practicitioners, karateka - are unarmed, but use their hands and feet as weapons. it can also be taken to signify that the mind of the practicitioner is empty of malice and unprovoked aggression.

Regular and inexpensive gradings conducted by the Chief Instructor of the KUGB
Sensei Andy Sherry 8th Dan
Grading Exams are taken every 3 to 4 months.

Karate is suitable for all ages,Male and Female, Young and Old.
the development of good etiquett, discipline and strong fighting spirit.

Training Venue:Barnton Memorial Hall, Townfield Lane, Barnton, Northwich.
Fridays...........................Advanced & Beginners 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Sundays....................... Advanced Session 10:30am to 12:00pm
Mondays....................... Beginners Juniors age 5yrs & above 4:15pm to 5:15pm
Advanced session 7:30pm to 8:30pm

Training venue:
Weaverham youth centre:

Tuesdays...........................7:00pm to 8:00pm
Red belts & above only advanced Training.
